With this recording, the now legendary young Russian pianist Daniil Trifonov presents his first studio album – a tribute to his idol Sergei Rachmaninov. All in all, the album is an overwhelming collection of "hits" and rarities as well as a world premiere of an original composition by the pianist!

In the long tradition of Russian pianists and composers, Daniil Trifonov is already regarded as a legacy of Rachmaninov – a passionate virtuoso who carries the temperament of Romanticism, which is also unmistakable in his compositions.
